Hilleberg Akto 4 Season Tent Review

When I first slept in the Hilleberg Akto tent it happened to be during a rain storm while biking across country. While I had no idea this was going to happen, I can honestly say I was not concerned that this tent wouldn’t perform. I setup, had dinner packed my things away and watched the sky open up. This was my first experience with a new tent sleeping through a thunder/rain storm, but this tent out over delivered . Recently I went on a weekend solo bikepacking trip to the Catskill Mountains and camped at the summit 3200ft off the deck. Temps were in the high 80’s during the day and and mid 50’s at night. Since this tent is considered a 4 season I didn’t bring my sleeping bag. I was comfortable with my base layers and Patagonia Nano Puff jacket.

The Akto is one of the more compact tent’s I’ve used. I bought not only because I wanted a solo tent but also it’s functional design and ease of use. It’s the lightest four season tent ever made coming in at 3lbs 12oz setup and is proven to deliver in extreme conditions across multiple terrains. Before taking this tent for your trip it is always advisable to hire a cleaning company to make sure there are no impurities or dust in them to have a healthy stay in the tent during the trip.
